Rachel Andrews, Amethyst owner and tutor for the North East

I have over ten years experience as a teacher of Holistic Therapies in further education and in the community. I am qualified as an assessor and to postgraduate level in teaching. I am passionate about my subject and love passing on my skills and knowledge to my students.
I am a Master/Teacher in Angelic Reiki and a fully qualified Holistic and Beauty Therapist. I have over 11 years experience in Holistic Therapies and have a private practice offering a range of holistic and beauty treatments. Please visit my website www.healingholistics.co.uk for more details.
I am a member of the Professional Beauty Guild and Guild of Holistic Therapists, Embody, the Healer Foundation, the BCMA and the Institute for Learning.
I truly believe that we are complex beings and our physical health is inter-linked with our emotional, mental and spiritual well being. Imbalances in these areas often manifest as physical illness. Holistic Therapies can help to address causes of illness as well as symptoms. The holistic approach means that the client is treated as a whole person.

A practising Holistic Therapist since 2006 I am also qualified to teach Holistic Therapies in Swedish Massage, Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Hopi Ear Candling, Indian Head Massage, Crystal Therapy, Seated Thai Massage, and Usui Reiki.
I am a member of The Guild of Holistic Therapists and as such I am committed to professional practice whilst teaching and when providing therapies to my clients.
It is my firm belief that our body has the ability to heal and maintain itself. Using Holistic Therapies opens up the amazing power of the mind to enable our body to be as it should be. Working intuitively with all therapies enables us to adapt them to suit each individual that requests our help and guidance as therapists; giving them precisely what they need at that time in their lives. I actively encourage intuitive healing when teaching all therapies.
The teaching environment here at My Serenity in Guisborough is light, airy, comfortable, and relaxing. It provides the opportunity to learn within an actual working practice. Class sizes are kept small to allow us to offer personal guidance and support throughout your training and 1:1 training is welcomed. To see what we're able to offer visit www.My-Serenity.co.uk
Tina Fu, tutor for Blackburn and North West
I am an ITEC qualified Beauty Therapist with over 10 years experience working in England and Asia. My qualifications include Thai foot massage, Thai table massage, pregnancy massage and herbal compress massage to name a few. I have also studied handmade natural skincare products to advanced level. I have taught in Beauty Therapy in FE colleges and taught English as a foreign language in Asia.
After extensive travelling around the world, experiencing all kinds of therapy, I went on to update my skills in holistic therapies and now own a spa inspired beauty room, specialising in Ancient Herbal Asian therapies and making my own Oriental inspired natural skincare range.
I believe that learning new skills and techniques can only enhance a therapist's repertoire. The Asian attitude is concentrated on prevention of ailments rather than cure. Therefore their outlook is to constantly take care of their health by keeping a balance of Ying and Yang in everything they do. The therapist can be the link to a person's inner calm simply by the magic of touch...
