Our college policy with regard to Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection Prevention & Control

Rules for social contact may have been relaxed but we continue to follow government guidelines for close contact services which can be found here.

Our priority is to keep you as safe as possible. We have all completed training in COVID-19 Infection Prevention/Control and we have implemented a number of changes to our procedures.

Booking training

If any of our tutors feel ill or have symptoms of C0VlD-19, they will self-isolate immediately and training will be postponed. This may mean that we have to cancel your training at short notice. We appreciate that this may be inconvenient but it is done entirely for your own safety. If your training is postponed you will be notified about rebooking as soon as possible.

If you/your model or any of the people you/they live with feel ill or display any symptoms of C0VlD-19 – please advise us as soon as possible and DO NOT COME TO THE VENUE FOR TRAINING.

Your model should preferably be someone from your household but this is no longer essential.

Rather than a paper manual, you will receive a PDF version of the training manual; you can print this out or bring your laptop/tablet with you on which to view the manual. You will need to bring along your own pen and notebook to make notes.

You will receive a pre-arrival Covid-19 consultation for yourself and your model; it's very important that you print and complete these and send them back to your tutor.

You will also receive a printable consultation form for you/your model which you should print and bring with you.

Visiting a training venue

Tutors have increased the frequency of cleaning and sanitising in training venues.

As always, all tools and equipment are disinfected or sterilised in line with the specific manufacturers’ instructions for your safety.

On arrival at the training venue, you will be asked to wash your hands or use the hand sanitiser provided.

We ask you to bring and wear a mask during training.  We ask that you bring a mask for your model to wear a mask when possible during her treatment.

Tutors will also be using a mask. They will use additional personal protective equipment (PPE - disposable gloves/face masks/aprons) where appropriate.

We can confirm that the laundering of towels and uniforms is a priority; we can assure you that all laundry is washed at 60 degrees C as recommended.  All disposable items are bagged and safely removed from the treatment area as soon as possible.

Our training

Tutors have carried out risk assessments on individual treatments to be taught and we are confident that we can continue to provide most courses.

During your training

We understand the importance of hand hygiene and we will ensure that everyone involved in the training day (tutor, student, models) wash their hands or cleanse with hand sanitiser in according with NHS recommendations.

We  will try to make your training as safe, comfortable and enjoyable as possible for you and your model. If you have any concerns about your training please let us  know.

All of these procedures have been implemented for your safety and that of our tutors. We will continue to take advice from the Government and the NHS regarding safe practice and will amend them as necessary.

You can visit the Beauty Guild website at their FAQ's page for more information - you should also check with your own insurers or professional body to see their policy and guidelines.

Thank you for your understanding.
