Great news! At last we can reopen for teaching!!
It's great to get the go ahead to reopen! The less good news is that some courses will not be available; we can only teach those treatments that therapists are allowed to deliver. While most courses can go ahead, for the moment we can not train you in the following:
all Facial treatments
all lash/brow courses
Make Up Application
Some venues will remain closed for now because of tutors' individual circumstances.
Venues that will reopen on 13th July are: Cumbria, Hull, Newcastle Holistics, Newcastle Beauty, Nottingham, South Yorkshire, West Sussex.
Our North West venue in Bolton will reopen in September.
In Scotland, Glasgow venue will reopen from 22nd July and and Edinburgh/Fife from late August.
We can reassure you that all tutors have undertaken training from the Beauty Guild or their own insurance company on preparing for work during the Covid-19 pandemic. This training includes all aspects of health & safety and making your salon/treatment room Covid safe.
It is advised that you undertake a course in (Covid-19) Infection Prevention & Control so that you also have this knowledge. The Beauty Guild GTi course in Coronavirus (Covid-19) Infection Prevention & Control is free if you are a Beauty Guild member. If you're not a member, they have a great 'back to work' membership offer which includes the course. More details here.
Alternatively, if you take any of our GTi online courses - all currently discounted by £10, the Coronavirus (Covid-19) Infection Prevention & Control is included for no extra cost. To find courses, go to the GTi page on our website.

If you've trained with us before, you will notice some changes to our procedures:
Instead of paper manuals, you will receive a PDF version once you have paid for your course. This is to minimise risk of transmission through paper/printed materials. You will need to bring your tablet/laptop with you so that you can view the manual, alternatively you can print out your manual and bring it with you. You will also be asked to print out and bring the consultation form.
You will need to bring your own pen and paper/notebook; tutors will no longer supply these items.
You will need to bring your own model with you if the course is 1:1. It has always been the responsibility of the student to do this but tutors often help out. We are very sorry but this can no longer be offered.
If there is more than one person on the course, you will most likely work on each other but you will need to check with the tutor beforehand.
Some tutors will only be offering 1:1 courses to minimise risk depending on their teaching circumstances.
You will need to bring your own mask/face covering and one for your model; these will not be supplied.
Tutors will be wearing masks and possibly face shields, depending on the treatment being taught.
These measures are brought in for the safety of all of us so please be patient with us. I think you would be a bit surprised if a few things hadn't changed!

These courses are ideal if you cannot get to a training venue or if your local venue doesn't offer the course.
Accreditation will be through IPHM (International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine).
There will be the opportunity to do a half day with a tutor following completion of the course in order to add Beauty Guild certification.
